The Jets will see a familiar face this summer.
Former Jets coach Todd Bowles will return to the team’s Florham Park headquarters for joint practices between the Jets and the Buccaneers.
Bowles, who recently received his college degree, is entering his second season as the head coach in Tampa Bay after coaching the Jets from 2015-18.
The Jets and Buccaneers will play a preseason game on Aug. 19 at MetLife Stadium.
They will have two joint practices before that game.
Bowles went 24-40 in four seasons at the helm of the Jets.
The Buccaneers were 8-9 last year in his first year as their head coach.

The Jets have had several joint practices since Robert Saleh took over in 2021.
They practiced with the Packers and Eagles in his first season and the Falcons and Giants last season.
It seems unlikely the Jets and Giants will get together this year for joint practices since they play each other in the regular season.
The Jets open the preseason in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio against the Browns. They then go to Carolina to play the Panthers before the game against the Buccaneers and the preseason finale against the Giants.
