Other leagues may have paused for the March international window, but Major League Soccer was in full swing – and players delivered some phenomenal goals while others were away.
Franco Negri held down the fort for Inter Miami, as Josef Martinez reported with Venezuela, while Joao Klauss sealed the fifth consecutive win for St. Louis against Real Salt Lake.

Carlos Teran doubled the lead for the Chicago Fire in the first half with a great right-footed strike into the top left corner of the goal.
It was a much needed effort from the Eastern Conference team, who ended up winning the game 3-2 with a last minute goal by Kei Kamara. It was Chicago’s first win of the 2023 MLS season, after a rocky start with two draws and one loss.

Gustavo Bou connected with Carles Gil to find the equalizer in the second half. The right-footed shot to the lower right corner stood as the player’s second goal of the 2023 Major League Soccer campaign, propelling the Revolution to yet another win.
The team’s 2-1 triumph over D.C. United is their fourth consecutive win, maintaining their spot atop the Eastern Conference table.

Franco Negri for Inter Miami! Though his efforts were not enough to win his side the game against the Chicago Fire, the goal still deserves a place on this list.

After a 13-hour flight to LAFC, Denis Bouanga landed ready to take on FC Dallas in Los Angeles. The player came off the bench in a stunning fashion to score the last-minute goal and earn the reigning MLS champions the victory.
It just had to be him.

Last, but not least, Joao Klauss for St. Louis. The expansion team is unstoppable, thanks to Klauss.
The team continues to be undefeated in their inaugural MLS season, a record-breaking statistic after Matchday 5. The team scored four goals overall, but it was Klauss’ first strike that earns him first place on our goals of the week!
